Happy 4th of July

I couldn't resist making a patriotic cupcake today. It is supposed to look like whipped cream and a cherry on top. Thanks to those of you who have inquired about purchasing the Cupcake Pincushion pattern. I do not have a website but if you google Taylor Made Designs you will come up with a lot of on-line shops that carry my books and patterns.

Another holiday...another excuse to decorate a little. We are spending a traditional day with hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob. Our neighbor is bringing Boston Creme Pie...not sure how that ties in but I know it will be delicious. Have a save and fun holiday!
Back soon,
Cindy

I have a question about your cupcake pattern, which I love!!!
I can't find the walnut hulls filler mentioned on the pattern. I found filler made of fir bark and coconut shells instead.
Did you fill yours pictured on the pattern with all sand or did you use a mixture of materials?
Also, have you ever just filled them with fiberfill, like you would use to make a pillow?
Any suggestions would help. Thanks and have a blessed day!

Cindy, I was wondering the same thing as Melinda in the previos comment. I saw sample for this pattern in a LQS but they had stuffed it so full of sand that it was really hard. You couldn't see the soft gathering pleats like you see on yours. I'm planning on making several for myself as well as for gifts. Thanks for your help!

I have still not gotten an answer about this from my original question in July. I have never found the walnut hulls reptile bedding. Any suggestions, Cindy on how you filled yours?
Thanks so much for your help.

I found the walnut shells at Petsmart -- they're used for reptile aquariums as bedding. Check pet supply stores in your area.
