Cupcake Pincushion

This is the new little booklet for making a pincushion that looks like a cupcake. It is so much fun to make and a great way to use up small bits of fabric. I filled some of mine with sand. I really like the weight of these. The rest I filled with crushed walnut shells. Someone told me that it was good for your needles. It is actually reptile bedding. It comes in a large bag and can be found at a pet store. Here is the back cover so you can see some other variations. The pattern also includes directions for making a flower out of a yo-yo. You can see these on the back cover. The one on the front cover is a ribbon flower I purchased.
I made the little glass stands by gluing a glass candlestick to a small plate. I purchased these at a thrift store. I will make a little tutorial on the subject.
Bye for now
Cindy

Hi Cindy:
Finally got all my stuff unpacked and found the cupcake pattern...I'm going to treat myself to a day of cupcake making--before the push for NEXT market takes over! They are just too cute!

I just have to tell you how much blogging influences the purchase of patterns etc... Perhaps I'm unique, but I have found so many designers that I would never have known had it not been for blogging. In Upstate NY, information just doesn't seem to get here, well perhaps information that appeals to me ;o). Anyway, a friend of mine, Wendy from Snippets of a quilter, sent me a gift that she made from your pincushion pattern. I asked who the designer was and she sent me to your link. You see, I just opened a quilt shop this recent May first and I am determined to be different. Wendy sent me to your blog and having seen your pattern, it's now on my checker order! Blogging is truly wonderful, and the people I have met, such a blessing! I'll be bookmarking your blog! Thank you for sharing your talent! Cheers
